Perhaps no wine term provokes more controversy than “natural wine”. Its defenders claim that the low-intervention style, where wines are not afforded the usual protections against faults, more clearly communicates terroir, produces fresher, “crushable” wines, and prevents hangovers. Its detractors say the wines are volatile, inconsistent and funky.
As we always say, the proof is in the glass. Join us for an 8 wine tasting flight pitting natural wines against their more conventional counterparts. Will you become a convert after realising that wine is more fun raw-like many other things (we’re talking about sushi!) Or will you decide that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with using some protection?
